Why Mixing Valves Should be Installed?
Have you ever pondered over how the blazing hot water never ruins the plumbing system installed? The simple answer is, by using devices called mixing valves to control the temperature of water distribution in tubs, sinks, showers and emergency drench equipment which saves us from burning ourselves.
Why are mixing valves needed?
According to (https://lnkd.in/drETfUeS ) blazing water is needed to kill Legionella bacteria. However, 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘩𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮. Types and applications
There are mainly two types of mixing valves: 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘛𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘪𝘹𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘷𝘦, 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘔𝘪𝘹𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘷𝘦 (𝘛𝘔𝘝). The first valve must be adjusted by the building occupant to obtain the desired temperature as it doesn’t respond to changing conditions on its own. While the TMV has a temperature sensing element that detects the temperature of water and automatically adjusts the flow of hot and cold water to maintain a constant temperature, definitely making it a better option than the manual tempering mixing valve.
